Paradigm shift

After 4.5 rigorous years of writing and testing softwares, back in Oct last year I had decided to make a move to something else. Initially I was not very sure of what is it that I am looking forward to, but then options came up and ball was again back in my court to pick up one of them. I choose CONSULTANCY. Its a totally different and new field to me, but now that I have survived in the field and have been quite successfull here for last 5 months, I would like to write something about it.

I felt that working in R & D field of an organization was making me very much stubborn and narrow minded in terms of my learning apetite. I was always vouching for learning new stuff but then always had some or the other kind of deliverable at hand which was in some or the other terms monotonous. I didn't wanted that from life. I always wanted to explore more, learn more from mistakes, learn more about people, culture and work. Consultancy is definitely giving me the avenues to do all that. I am having a ball out here with lots of tough times as well. Because of the product I am working with, I have to interact with the industry veteran guys for every platform and they are real champs in their fields, but there is lots to learn from all of them. In a typical working day I interact with different system admins for HPUX/AIX/Solaris/RH Linux, Windows is yet to start and so as to quench their thirst for technology, I implement my software.

Hope it would be a fruitful career option.. :)

In the end it doesn't even matter

We were at a pub last week where I heard this song and loved its lyrics like anything.... This is nothing but philosophy and that's the subject I love the most in its literal sense...

Its one of the Linkin Park songs with a somewhat interesting video (but I was not satisfied with the screenplay and picturization)..I have the lyrics here for all you guys:

It starts with one thing
I don't know why
It doesn't even matter how hard you try keep that in mind
I designed this rhyme
To explain in due time
All I know
Time is a valuable thing
Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings
Watch it count down to the end of the day
The clock ticks life away
It's so unreal
Didn't look out below
Watch the time go right out the window
Trying to hold on, but didn't even know
Wasted it all just to watch you go
I kept everything inside and even though I tried, it all fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when

I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn't even matter

One thing, I don't know why
It doesn t even matter how hard you try, keep that in mind
I designed this rhyme, to explain in due time
I tried so hard
In spite of the way you were mocking me
Acting like I was part of your property
Remembering all the times you fought with me
I'm surprised it got so (far)
Things aren't the way they were before
You wouldn't even recognize me anymore
Not that you knew me back then
But it all comes back to me (in the end)
You kept everything inside and even though I tried, it all fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when I

I ve put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
And for all this
There's only one thing you should know

Luck by chance

Do you believe in luck....! At least I do. It’s the luck and fate which governs everything in life. I don’t take it in bad manner meaning I don't stop working hard. But still I believe in luck. I have seen people claiming that there is nothing like luck/fate, it’s just your karma which matters and I do agree but don't you feel that sometimes people get everything for nothing and others get nothing even if they have got everything at stake.

I take it as a science. There are astronomical bodies there in the universe hundreds of thousands of miles away which affect our daily lives. But I don't want to get onto back seat because of that.

My stance on the matter is if something worked for me, it’s be god's grace and my luck, but if something doesn't then there must be something lacking in the efforts that I have put on.

Frustrations frustrations!!

Everyone seems to be so frustrated.. Some one is frustrated because of the house owner, someone because of his team lead, some one because of her boy friend's behavior, other because of not getting good appraisal.. Someone is frustrated because of not getting through some interview and others who show off (I really don't know whether they care for the country actually) patriotism are frustrated because of politics/mismanagement..

But I really hate the ones who get frustrated because of their friends working at a higher package than them. They never give a bloody damn shit to the fact that till yesterday they were working at a handsome salary as compared to their friends and today that guy has switched job and so has got a hike and has moved ahead in some or the other terms..

I am really out of this game because of whatsoever reason you say!!
